After having built a strong team by utilising and developing the skills of those internally and bringing in external expertise across both sales/underwriting, we're here to deliver now and continue to grow our offering to meet your needs in the future.
Phil Westhead
Acting Lending Manager / Technical Underwriter
With over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry Phil has held underwriting mandates at a range of well known mutual and specialist mortgage brands, and joined the Teachers family 3 years ago. Bringing a wealth of experience in Buy-to-Let, Portfolio, Credit Impaired, Right to Buy and Complex Lending. Having held Senior Management positions previously, he is currently acting Lending Manager, overseeing the underwriting team and working closely with the Head of Lending and Sales Team to provide good customer outcomes.

Underwriter
Has over 30 years' industry experience, and is a Senior Underwriter here at Teachers Building Society, dealing with all types of mortgage applications.
Isabelle Webster
Technical Underwriter
Over 30 years' experience in financial services, primarily within Underwriting and Credit Risk. A Technical Underwriter, dealing particularly with some of the more Complex cases. Has previously worked for Mortgage Systems, Credit Agricole, GMAC, Preferred Mortgages and Magellan.
Natalie Dodd
Mortgage Underwriter
With 10 years at Teachers Building Society, she grew her knowledge within the brand and became a Mortgage Underwriter, now with 5 years' experience of underwriting mortgages within Teachers Building Society.
